Webshots - Images of Maria Olliges - Talent Coordinator
We've added more photos to Maria's photo gallery. CHECK IT OUT! She knows everyone in Germany!!
Monday, January 24, 2005
Well our Talent Coordinator, Maria Olliges, in Meppen Germany did it again.
Several months ago she told us that one half of the famous singing duo Die Ladiner was going to quit. They had just won the Grand Prix der Volksmusik and Rafael wanted to quit because of health reasons. Tim announced it on his program back then and you did not see much press about it, so I was starting to have wondering if perhaps it was only a rumor.
Well last week on German TV on the Krone der Volksmusik the "new" duo premiered and Joakin introduce Rafael's replacement: Otto. He is from the same town back in Sued Tirol and frankly I thought they really sounded about the same. Actually, Joakin, is the lead singer (I think he looks like he could be a cousin to Rock Hudson) and they continue to have that same melodious sound as they always did. I am looking forward to meeting these two when we go to the MaPi Fest this summer.
Well I should never have doubted Maria; she had a great scoop for the Milwaukee listners again. Thanks Maria! If anyone wants to check out their website: www.dieladiner.com

I was just talking to Maria Olliges from Meppen, Germany and am I ever excited about our upcoming Feller & Feller interview. These young men are very talented and I'm certain they will be exciting to listen to on February 26th's radio program.
Now I have to talk Tim into letting me use his telephone recording system again. He's so naughty sometimes.

Amazing news!
I will soon be recording an interview with Amy Carter (see home page), America's Ultimate Queen. This is on the heels of recording the interview with Feller & Feller, two of the hottest rising stars of German Schlager music. It's been a great week and we're working up to the best anniversary yet--and we've had 14 before this one!

Exciting developments for the show!
Super-duper website, OnMilwaukee.com, will be running an article about the program (and me) sometime this week. When I have the final link, I'll post it on the blog immediately. Usually, that would be our biggest news, but we have more.
The website has added a countdown clock to the actual 15th Anniversary of my hitting the airwaves in Milwaukee. It is actually calibrated to the precise second, so be sure to check it out on the main home page.
On that same home page, we've added a Fast Find menu. (Look over to the left, just below the clock.) Now you can quick click to the update on the upcoming guest you are most interested. This is a great way to quickly get to some of our latest announcements, such as our interviews that are coming with German recording artists and superstars, Feller & Feller, and our interview with the nationally recognized America's Ultimate Queen, Amy Carter. Now finding your favorite story is quicker and easier than ever.
Post your interest on any of our upcoming interviews out on our Forum. We want to interact with you and bring you the type of programming you want. We'll see you all in the forum.

Marta and Maria were up to their tricks again!
Maria Olliges, our talent coordinator from Meppen, Germany, and our master Deutsch interviewer, Marta Kretschmann, have cooked up another spectacular interview for us.

Feller & Feller, Schlager superstars from Ostfriesland, were on the telephone with Marta and we will be broadcasting their interview on February 26, 2005.
Marta Kretschmann says, "This was a really fun interview. Hansi was a very articulate young man--though he talks rather fast--and was a lot of fun to talk to."
You'll learn more about the "Fellers" and their spectacular musical selections on the Stimmung Stunde leading up to the interview. Hansi is even sending us an additional CD to make sure we have the latest and greatest selection of Feller & Feller music.

Angela Zanon interview
Our interview today with Angela Zanon was a complete delight! Angela is strong, self-assured young lady with lots of determination to do the best at all she attempts.
And she succeeds.
She told us about her family, education, and her future plans today with quiet optimism and enthusiastic purpose in her oratory. It was so fun to learn about this exciting young person in our wonderful city.
We had a really fun recording session after the show that will doubtless create many interesting spots and IDs for the show in the days, weeks and months to come!
Thanks, Angela, for coming on the show!
